We wanted to make it easy for visitors to find out about Max's record on the issues that matter to them. So, we provided several ways to locate issue pages -- by issue title, by area of the state, and by constituency (children, farmers, sportsmen, etc.).

Throughout the site, we used the right-hand column and the "dead space" beneath the menu to showcase page-related quotations, both from Max and from his supporters. As with the insets in magazine article, visitors are drawn to these short pieces of information, which may motivate them to read further.

To encourage visitors to spread the word about Max, we added electronic cards -- eCards -- to the site. There were six eCards, two Get-out-the-Vote cards and four Reelect Max cards.

MaxCleland2002.com has also received the Bobby seal of approval indicating that the site meets the Priority 1 guidelines of the Web Access Initiative for accessibility to disabled persons. This is in keeping with Max's long record of fighting for increased accessiblity for disabled persons.
